Time‐difference‐of‐arrival and frequency‐difference‐of‐arrival estimation for signals with partially known waveform

چکیده

In many passive localization applications, the reference waveform of received electromagnetic signals is partly known. The in such scenarios are formulated by modelling relationship between data and known signal parameters interest, as time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA) frequency-difference-of-arrival (FDOA). By exploiting prior information carried signal, negative impact random noise can be significantly reduced. Following this guideline, a coherent an incoherent method proposed to estimate TDOA FDOA two moving receivers. Cramer-Row lower bound estimation accuracy also analysed. Simulation results show advantage precision over its counterparts, which partially demonstrates that effective exploitation largely improve performance estimation.

Hyperparameter Estimation in Image Restoration Problems with Partially-Known Blurs

This work is motivated by the observation that it is not possible to reliably estimate simultaneously all the necessary hyperparameters in an image restoration problem when the point-spread function is assumed to be the sum of a known deterministic and an unknown random component. To solve this problem we propose to use gamma hyperpriors for the unknown hyperparameters. Two iterative algorithms...

Robust Detection of Partially Known Signals Elec 530 Final Project

The following robust detection problem is considered in this note. The nominal signals are known, but the actual signals present in the observed data can be corrupted slightly. The probability distribution of the noise is known precisely, or some small deviation exists from the nominal model. To derive the robust detector which is insensitive to the corruption of signals and deviation from nomi...

Optimal localization of partially known signals in unknown noise fields

Most methods for sensor array signal processing require the covariance matrix of the background noise to be known. Various techniques for overcoming this limitation have recently been proposed. While most of these are based on assumptions on the noise, we present herein an alternative approach based on partial knowledge of the signals. Methods yielding minimum variance estimates for the model i...

DOA Estimation of Partially Polarized Signals

In this correspondence, the two-dimensional (2-D) direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation problem for partially polarized (PP) signals is considered. In particular, we focus on an array geometry containing three identical uniform linear arrays (ULAs). Compared with existing methods, the proposed one has three main advantages. Firstly, the estimation accuracy is higher since it exploits the polari...
